Wednesday Wanderers- Roger the Panamanian Taxi Driver

Meet Roger. He's a 60 year old taxi driver who's madly in love with his country. He likes to talk economics and politics and reveals the secret to a good life-rum. Roger is one example of the goldmine of amazing people we are meeting along the way, people who are really teaching us (and our children) that the world is fully of remarkable people; and when you open your heart, when you turn to people with genuine curiosity, they will tell your their story.

That is what Wednesday Wanderers is about.. people telling their story. [For the record: Wednesday, for us, is a general guideline. With power outages, bad moods, life in general, and Kobi and I trying to make better movies in specific; we see they won't always be out on Wednesdays. But just smile at us when you get it, and think, "How lovely, for the Klafs this Sunday is Wednesday! What a lovely open-minded way to look at the world"

We'd love to know what you think about Roger and the others. We know that some of our interviews are these "wow, blow you away people!"; whereas others are just your run-of-the-mill everyday normal people. We are fascinated by both; as, we feel, both has the honor and the right to tell their story; neither is more important; and, both can teach us a great deal. Enjoy, and engage with us in your comments. We love that!

What a lovely guy!! His passion for his country was very evident, and nice to see in this current climate of worry and discontent!! As for the rum, I had better pass on that one, and stick to my porridge - at least I can walk and type after porridge ;-)
Wednesday is known as hump day - because it is the middle of the week - nice to know your weeks are more like the bactrian camel - the possibility of two hump days in a week lol
Blessings and love

My dear Wendy, How you do make me smile. Yes, Roger was so passionately in love with his country. I love it when he says that part about Panama being the BEST country to live in in all of Latin America. I'll also pass on the rum but respect him for enjoying it. And, I just love it. Our camel has at least two humps. Much love, and thank you for sharing your thoughts. We love it. Gabi
