This week we had the honor of volunteering in Project Asis, the Costa Rican WildLife and Rescue Foundation. The organization does amazing things. The sign at their door says it all... we are here to care for the child, the bird, the flower all the same, all creations from god.

The staff was unbelievably kind, patient, and creative with the kids. they let us feed animals, clean cages, paint, blaze rainforest trails, and make toys for the animals. We loved every minute of it. H, Leo, one of their amazing staff members says a few words while Yessica, Mobly, and Hercules dance in the background.
Our nomadic family of five is traveling the world on a budget of $1200 a month. We dumped our (really lovely) modern lives in Northern Israel and dare to live with no boss, no mortgage payments, no hectic routines. Today, we decide how to spend our precious time on earth- exploring, volunteering, getting in shape, bonding our family, and discovering ourselves.
For us, being a nomadic family means living out our dreams today, not 'some day'. It also means facing who we are, what we really believe in, and figuring out how to be 'in our voice' also as we travel; how to balance internet and a plug-free life; how we invest in our family and find those precious spaces for ourselves.
Thanks for joining us in that field. I'll save a place for you (and Rumi) on the grass. (clueless which field, I'll send you my new favorite quote in an email. Just ask!)
